After a career in the music business, I discovered painting. A passion and challenge I've now enjoyed for over 25 years. Self-taught, I paint memories and impressions of people, places, pets, events, dreams and nonsense that has shaped my life. My aim is to communicate some information, experience or emotion that will touch the viewer. I work with acrylic for the speed I need to organize the concept, color and clutter. Rarely utilizing a central focus, the fun is in discovering the details.
Today I produce original work for collectors and for licensing prints, posters, puzzles, cards, fabric, etc. I've illustrated and written several children's books; designed cats, dogs, Bile and Noah collectors plates and figurines for the Franklin and Danbury Mints including special series for McDonald's, Pepsi, Gold Medal, The Pillsbury Doughboy and the New York Yankees. I've also illustrated a program and a poster for the White House Easter Project.
Having been represented for years by galleries in New York City, Montreal, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, my originals are owned by doctors, lawyers, business men, plain folks and even a few celebrities.
